After recently graduating from SDSU with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, I did not have a clear idea of what I wanted to do moving forward. I knew I always wanted to help people from all walks of life from where they were, but I did not know which path was best. When the opportunity to become a team member of AAU arose, I was extremely excited. This is what I had imagined my dream job to be; but it really hit home as of late.
Growing up, I watched my cousin place her child for adoption with AAU, and what strength that took. Watching the process unfold and her transform through recent years, I gained more understanding and appreciation for what birthfamilies go through. I also got to see the other side of adoption. My brother and sister-in-law recently adopted a baby through AAU, as well. He has been the greatest blessing to our family and filled many hearts with love. I have had the unique privilege of seeing both sides of the adoption process, which makes this opportunity very near and dear to my heart. I am excited and honored to be apart of AAU team!
