We are the M Family. Hello, we are Jessica and Jared. Hand in hand, we are each other’s partners in everything, and we are hopeful to expand that bond through adoption. We want to adopt because we have an abundance of love to share with a little ray of sunshine.
We’ve been married for almost 4 years and live in Eastern South Dakota with our pup, Scout. Jared is an economist (a self-proclaimed data nerd) and Jessica is an interior designer. Together, we enjoy traveling to try new cuisines, tackling home renovation projects, and exploring hiking trails with Scout leading the way.
Our adoption journey began with infertility, but now it feels like a joyful and positive direction. We’re thrilled to take this path with an expectant mother and believe in the immense benefits of open adoption. We promise to cherish and love the child we adopt unconditionally, giving them every opportunity to know their birth family, their story, and their heritage.

Fun Facts
- We have driven around the entire island of Iceland in a campervan.
- Jared is the chef in the family and Jessica is the baker.
- We have pictures of us at the same party in college, but we didn’t officially meet for another 10 years.
- Together we have renovated an entire home down to the studs. And then, surprise, a new job was across the state.
- Our veggie garden is producing enough zucchini to feed an army.
